We sing these words as we bring our gifts to the Lord in the liturgy. It’s a perfect picture of how our giving is a joyful part of our worship life as a church. Giving at Christ our King is a response to the lavish generosity of God, through the gift of His son, Jesus Christ. As Christians we have been made stewards of the most valuable of gifts of new life. In joyful obedience, we offer ourselves as living sacrifices—all of us—given back to the Lord with gratitude. This is expressed and practiced regularly by giving our tithe, or sacrificial offering.
